Here at Homes in Sedgemoor, our customers are at the heart of everything we do.

We’re the largest housing provider in Sedgemoor, managing more than 4,000 properties on behalf of Somerset Council. We ensure good quality, safe homes, are provided to the people who need them most.

Just a few of our accolades include a Top 50 Landlords Award, Investors in People Gold Award, and UK Customer Experience Awards, and we’ve got big plans for the future.

We are driven to be the best managing agent in England and we plan to do this by upholding our values and working towards five core strategic themes

As one of 30 Arm’s Length Management Organisations (ALMOs) across the UK, we pride ourselves on delivering the very highest standards.

We offer a range of housing solutions from one-bedroom bungalows to four-bedroom houses and all things in between. In addition, we can provide sheltered housing for anyone needing extra support, and Extra Care housing, where support staff can be available.

Our Extra Care Housing is perfect for anyone with an assessed care need and allows our customers to live as independently as possible, in the security and privacy of their own homes.

We also offer further support through our Independent Living Service, available at 43 locations across Sedgemoor, where customers have access to a team of staff that provides tenancy sustainment, support, and the reassurance of a 24/7 alarm system in case of emergency. It gives peace of mind to those who want independent living and allows for social engagement, with access to a communal hub or lounge area, where social activities are held.

We’re proud of our work and our engagement within the Sedgemoor community, and we continue to measure and demonstrate our performance by carrying out a STAR (Survey of Tenants and Residents) assessment every quarter, which we publish online for everyone to access.

Don’t just take our word for it…

Here’s what some of our customers have said.

“I appreciate all your help. I wouldn’t know what I would do if you weren’t there to help me. I’d just bury my head.”

“Just emailing to let you know you have been enormous support by understanding the dilemmas I’m having to sort out. You get on the phone to the appropriate department straight away whilst I am there, explaining each situation to them. This does work as they inject a pulse and get things moving then, so thank you.”

Corporate Strategy 2023-2026

Our Corporate Strategy builds on our past successes and uses five core strategic themes that underpin the way we work.

A clear strategic plan is vital for any organisation, it sets the direction for the future and serves as a guiding beacon for colleagues and the Board to focus on.
