If you’re looking for help with your energy bills, or need advice about how to keep your home warm without it costing the earth, there are plenty of organisations that can help
Warm Home Discount
You could get £150 off your electricity bill under the Warm Home Discount Scheme. The money is not paid to you – it’s a one-off discount on your electricity bill.
You may be able to get the discount on your gas bill instead if your supplier provides you with both gas and electricity and you’re eligible. Contact your supplier to find out.
Centre for Sustainable Energy
As a national, independent charity, the Centre for Sustainable Energy can offer advice about energy and how you could best save money.
Food bank vouchers
You may be entitled to food bank vouchers and we can advise and issue vouchers to families and individuals who require them. If you need vouchers, contact us and we can help.
Citizens Advice can help you with issues such as cost of living, claiming benefits and helping you navigate energy bills and advise where you can get help from.
Free to use, Energy Angels is accredited with the industry watchdog Ofgem. To find out how your Angel can help you, visit the Energy Angels website.
Check with your energy supplier
You can check with your provider to see if you are eligible for the Priority Service Register. This is a free service offered to those in vulnerable situations.
You can work out how much your home appliances cost to run using an online electric calculator.
