Project Matrix Launch

At Homes in Sedgemoor, we are always searching for ways to serve our customers even better. With this as our goal, today sees the launch of Project Matrix which will provide a new, localised way of providing our services. Instead of having multiple parts of the organisation all working separately, a reorganisation will see the creation of four teams that will be providing a “one-stop shop” for everything our customers need and want in their community.

These areas include:

  • Burnham, Highbridge, Woolavington, the Parrett villages, Berrow and Brean
  • Cheddar and the North Sedgemoor villages, Hamp, North Petherton and South Bridgwater villages
  • Sydenham, The Levels, Polden Villages and La Ciotat House
  • Bridgwater Central and West Bridgwater Villages.

Work began in February to provide a more focused service to our customers. Meeting the needs of local people who live in our homes as part of the changing regulatory framework was key. We also wanted to respond to the pressures felt by colleagues post-covid.

Each of the four teams across the district will be managed by a team leader who will have responsibility for a group of Housing Officers and other support. These officers will work together to support the tenancies, neighbourhoods, and lettings in each area. There will be two Housing Officers per patch. There will also be help available for customers from the Independent Living Service, from the income team who deal with rent paying, and a dedicated surveyor looking after the condition of properties in each patch.

Team leaders will also have responsibility for a service area, whether this is dealing with anti-social behaviour, community enabling or letting our homes.

Our aim is to ensure we get to know our customers on a face-to-face basis and ensure Homes in Sedgemoor continues to have that personal touch.
